Linux: pptpd, pptp-client, ppp-mppe
M$: достуа к удаленной частной сети ( virtual private network ) - катит
стандартный клиент
Вариант - FreeS/WAN, но это я не пробовал

Есть опыт. Весь укладывается в документацию к pptpd и pptp-client, потому
сначала лучше читать ее. Будут вопросы - пишите :)
