Естественно, в скрипте поднятия звука прописано, что если звук alsa -
выставить микшер.

Апгрейд с Junior'a на Master можно будет произвести с помощью dist-upgrade
с cdrom'ов - но при этом ес-но могут быть различные несостыковки...
