Самые критичные параметры - объем памяти и производительность
дисковой системы. Памяти нужно примерно 20 метров на каждого
клиента. Но больше 10-15 клиентов на один сервер - не рекомендует
и сама Майкрософт. Т.о. памяти нужно 256 (серверу) + 256 (на 10-12
клиентов) = 512 метров, но это минимум. Короче, говоря - 1 гиг
будет в самый раз. :-)
IDE-диски для этого не годятся в принципе. Ну пара
клиентов еще сможет чего-то пыжиться, а вот больше - фигвам.
Так что SCSI однозначно. А еще лучше SCSI RAID.

Есть еще Citrix MetaFrame 1.8
У него есть клиенты под unix-like системы (под Linux в частности),
под все Windows и даже под DOS.
