The Schoolforge project launches. [[schoolforge]]
The <a href="http://www.schoolforge.net">Schoolforge project</a> has
<a href="http://lwn.net/2002/0110/a/schoolforge.php3">announced
its existence</a>. Schoolforge is the result of a coalition of
education-oriented groups which are working to encourage the use
of free software (and more) in the educational system. The
Schoolforge site already has a comprehensive collection of free
resources available.
