получаем диагностику:

А, старые раны открылись .
Из архива:
 >В предыдущем grub была ошибка в скриптах - используйте "--noscripts ":
 >rpm -e --noscripts grub-0.5.96.1-ipl3mdk

Спасибо проблема решилась.
Только тепери после завершения apt-get upgrade
происходит:

[igor@ivz igor]$ su
bash: su: command not found

что-то нужно подкручивать?

что то мне говорит, что сдесь надо было apt-get dist-upgrade
кстати /etc/apt/sources.list смотрели/правили?

apt-get install su
