Поигрался с Junior`ом дома - решил поставить в офисе. Но тут же появилась пара проблем:
- печать на Win-машину (вроде конфигурю cups, ставлю samba-принтер, и так далее, делаю все это
с помощью kups - но проблема в том что kups печатает пробную страницу, но другие проги (kword,abiword)
отказываються видеть принтер если стоит печать через cups, а команда "lpr-cups -Pprinter file" выдает
ошибку)
- вторая проблема это перекомпиляция ядра: мать в офисе полностью интегрированная SiS, а в ядро 2.4.10-alt1-up
вкомпилена поддержка Plug&Play BIOS, из-за которой не видно дисковод (при загрузке резервируется область 0x3f0
что очень не нравится "modprobe floppy"). Посему было решено перебрать ядро. Скомпилил как положено (делал кучу раз дома
на системе BlackCat 6.2), установил modules (они упали в /lib/modules/2.4.10-alt1/), переписал bzImage и System.map в /boot
и на всякий случай переименовал /lib/modules/2.4.10-alt1-up/, чтобы старые модули не нашло. но когда новое ядро загрузилось
initscripts почему-то полезли в /lib/modules/2.4.10-alt1-up/ хотя ее нет и в помине и принадлежит она другому ядру.
Что это может быть?
