Посмотрел лучше. Правдивей будет так, собирай и пользуй.
Со старых времен осталось у меня под /root плюс /boot 110Mb. Теперь два ядра
с полным набором драйверов не живут. Для маневра пересобираю "по минимуму".
Посмотрел готовое собранное ядро из Сизифа (2.4.12-alt1-up), действительно,
%subj там не вкомпилирован.
