поставьте себя на место писателя скриптов %post в пакетах, затрагивающих bootmanagers
или представте себе задачу в дереве зависимостей rpm предусмотреть установку _всех_ перестановок из возможных загрузчиков.
в дебиан есть реальная возможность для такого, в рпм, думается, тоже.
