Дело было в XFree86-cyr_rfx-fonts-koi8-r
Обновил аптом, Опера запустилась! :-)
Есть проблемы с отображением страниц на русском, но они решаемы, грубо говоря, "перректум" ;-)
М.б. в релизе их не будет - похожие проблемы имели место в О6 под Win. Но релиз почистили.
Однако, если кто-то решил проблему с отображением русских шрифтов, возникающие на некторых сайтах (www.aport.ru, к примеру) - поделитесь, если не жалко! :-)
