Похоже, что не обрабатываются прерывания. Найдите в BIOS
настройку IRQ и поставьте для IRQ3 "Legacy ISA" (скорее всего,
сначала надо переключить конфигурацию PnP с Auto на Manual,
чтобы увидеть эти настройки). Правда, на некоторых особо кривых
матерях даже это не помогает - тогда приходится переставлять
модем на IRQ5 (IRQ9 тоже не всегда работает).
