Не только память имеет тайминги. Кстати, шина как положено или
как хочется? PIO при разгоне может глючить, хотя у меня все (и
PIO-zip (NEC, btw), и UDMA-винты) работают как часы при FSB 110.
Правда, я еще сказал ядру idebus=37 .

Есть LPT (фе) и USB (дорого). Т.е. внешние :(
Я имел в виду "int ATAPI более старого образца" в силу
процитированных Вами данных про проблемы с "newer".
