если устраивают текущие драйвера gatos или не gatos - проблем нет совсем.
посто поставить апт-гетом и пользоваться.

а вот здесь трудности.
не хватает собранного vloopback для ядра.
не хватает собранного свежего гатоса с капчером видео.
я вот прошерстил в очередной раз www.linuxvideo.org и теперь вот сижу с исходниками как крез, а собрать не могу. :(

с nosrc от альтлинукс у меня процесс подъема 1541 занял минут 20.
в общем - норма. пока не ругался.
