Большое спасибо всем ответившим! У меня не стояло пакетов rpm-build и rpm-utils, я распаковывал эти все файлы su'нувшись в root, и, кроме того, не выл вписан в группу rpm! Исправил это все - и все сразу собралось и построилось. У меня предложение: для тех как я которые избалованы apt'ом эту информацию о rpm стоило бы в FAQ включить!
