пишу сейчас аналогичный скрипт для генерации fontmap2 для gnome-print на основе тех же *.afm
так что скрипт оказался очень кстати как пример.
должен сказать, что он довольно смелый :)
у меня нужные заголовки никак в первые 6 строк не влазят и порядок их мягко говоря не постоянен.
так что надо бы вместо for i range(6) приспособить while do или do until s = 'CaracterMap'
и смотреть на подстроку например 'fontname' или 'familyfont'. а не по номеру строки в файле ориентироваться.
поможете? а то я в питоне не очень силен, а скриптик понравился - это вам не перл ;)
