Поскольку все мы учились в школе и знаем, что чудес не бывает,
то это означает только одно, что принимаемые данные сжимались
почти в три раза. Если принимается, то что не сжимается, то
на скорости 33600 максимальная скорость именно 33600 бит/сек.

Я знаю достаточно много людей, использующих этот модем (я в том числе),
никто проблем не испытывает. Так что, скорее всего, Вашему другу просто
не повезло. :-)))
