Т.к. есть ряд случаев, где supermount лучше automount за счет
kernel space'овости (=> возможность реакции на media change), что
в ряде применений довольно актуально, то вновь спрошу -- что же
там творится и не смотрел ли кто на оный volumagic...

Я скачал и посмотрел. Этот volumagic представляет из себя user space nfs
daemon - вообще-то это интересно, надо пробовать.
