Попробовал последовать этим рекомендациям. Удалил из фалов
/etc/cups/pppd/lp.ppd и /etc/cups/pppd/lp1.ppd (у меня два принтера) все
строки содержащие Standard ROM типа:
*Font AvantGarde-Book: Standard "(001.006S)" Standard ROM
......
перезапустил купс и распечатал это письмо - РУССКИХ БУКОВОК НЕТ!!!
Да, печать из KMail. Из некоторых программ типа AbiWord некоторые
шрифты (Times) - печатаются, а Ариел - нет!!!
