Так можно минимум (до которого потом таки нетривиально
добираться) положить на РЕАЛЬНЫЙ корень в каталог /etc.
Смонтированный /etc его перекроет. Только IMO это уже overkill в
большинстве случаев -- потраченное время можно эффективнее
использовать.
