Если вы хотите запускать программы с удаленной машины на своем
X-дисплее, ssh позволяет это делать прямо как есть. Проверьте,
установлена ли $DISPLAY в ssh-сессии, чтобы быть уверенным.
После этого смело запускайте программы.
Если вы хотите запустить X-дисплей на удаленной машине... ведь вам
нужно будет им пользоваться на той же машине, правильно? Вот пойдите и
запустите :)
