ОЧЕНЬ прошу не рассматривать этот тред, как базар.
Это - преамбула. А теперь вопрос:
"Общеизвестно, что профессионалы предпочитают BSD".
Конец цитаты. А вот почему, что мне скажут
присутствующие здесь монстры рока? Что в BSD такого,
что очень меня пропрет, и я перейду на нее с Линуха?
Чуть меньше полугода сижу на BSD, год на Линухе.
Системы как системы, клоны UNIX, различаются
настройки, но Линух привычнее. В BSD много примочек,
которые заставляют задуматься, особенно при работе
с диском и сетью. Усилия оправдываются, но в Линухе
я могу все тоже самое.
Нашел только два объяснения феномену цитаты:
- а) сейчас профессионалам лет по 30. Когда
они начинали свою "карьеру", линух был
в зачаточном состоянии.
- б) BSD старше Линуха, потому ядро системы
более приглажено и от него можно ждать
меньше сюрпризов.
Вопрос не праздный, как я уже писал в начале. Нужно
решить, какой ОС отдать предпочтение при установке,
от этого зависит очень много.
