Только что создал на разделе /dev/hda10 файл. систему ext2.
$ df -m /dev/hda10
Filesystem 1M-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda10 5057 1 4800 1% /mnt/disk
$ perl -lwe 'print((5057-4800)/5057*100)'
5.08206446509788
Т. е. разница между размером раздела и доступным объемом составляет как
раз те 5%, о к-рых mkfs говорил, что они reserved for root (что-то в таком
духе). Где можно доступно и без лишних деталей почитать, зачем и каким
образом резервируются эти 5%, и как root может их использовать?
