В Junior 1.0 после обновления initscripts перекомилять ничего не надо,
просто указать в /etc/sysconfig/framebuffer модуль который будет
подгружаться (rivafb для nvidia).

vesafb вообще лучше не трогать. здесь, как я понял, "или-или". Если
загрузить vesafb то никакую другую *fb после этого подгрузить уже будет
нельзя.

Обновите initscripts, там вопросы насчет framebuffer хорошо
проработаны...
