То есть теперь из src.rpm собираются два новых пакета:
XFree86-4.1.0.1-mgaHal
XFree86-4.1.0.1-ati-gatos
Они, собс-но, и являются основными изменениями. Пакет mgaHal - это драйвер
от Matrox, собранный с коммерческой библиотекой HAL, поэтому он будет
выложен в unsupported, но будет собираться с каждым новым XFree86 и
обновляться. Для его использования достаточно поставить пакет и в файле
XF86Config-4 заменить Driver "mga" на "mga_hal".
Похожая ситуация я с драйверами для видеокарт ATI из проекта GATOS - в
этих драйверах улучшена поддержка видеовыходов, проигрывания видео и
прочих мультимедийных расширения для карт ATI. Для использования этих
драйверов опять-таки достаточно установить этот пакет и в конфиге в том же
месте изменить название драйвера на такое же, но с приставкой _gatos, т.е.
был, например, radeon, стал radeon_gatos.
Тестируйте! У меня все вроде работает :-)
