В граф. инсталляторе можно выбрать тип. В любом случае, на 2-й
консоли можно сделать mkreiserfs /dev/раздел и пропустить
форматирование этого раздела в инсталляторе.
Насчет стабильности - лучше внимательнее слушать тех, кто
рассказывает о проблемах, чем тех, кто говорит, что все ок.
Натыкаться на грабли самому гораздо хуже :)
Так вот, про reiserfs говорят, что нестабильна, в архиве рассылки
есть детали. Но при регулярном backup ее использование меня
радует (после 20-минутных scandisk'ов на пользовательских
машинах).
На сервере ежедневно гоняется 3 Gb туды-сюды, не считая работы
демонов - пока без сбоев. На home pc тоже должно быть ничего.
Проверка ext2 при загрузке тоже достаточна тормозна, так вот -
при reisersf ее время ~10 секунд против 10 минут scandisk'а на
fat32.
В общем, советую попробовать, если вдруг будут проблемы - пишите
сюда. Проблемность reiserfs здесь редко поднималась, и очень
хорошо :)
