1) Вы в список смотрелок включили Adobe Acrobat Reader?
(доступен на сайте Adobe)
2) На XPDF у меня тоже нареканий куча...
3) Обовление пакета GhostScript мне _очень_ сильно помогло.
Мне приходится очень много возиться с PDF-ками, в
основном пользую gv и ggv (в зависимости от состояния души)
