А позвольте задать риторический вопрос:
А можно ли сделать rebuild всех пакетов Сизифа на самом Сизифе? По моему это
хорошая проверка была бы на предварительный вывод о корректности системы.
Кто не понял ситуации поясню на примере:
gcc проверяется методом компиляции самого себя несколько раз (stage1,
stage2, stage...). И вот когда его размер не изменяется от этапа к этапу
делают утверждение, что он работает корректно.
По-этому мое личное мнение: update возможен только как security update. Все
остальное лучше как install. В противном случае легко попасть в ситуацию
уникальности содержимого своего диска и невозможности его воспроизвести в
случае какого-нибудь отказа.
