Может, действительно какой harddrake потсарался. А потобную
ситуацию я наблюдал у друга на VIA Apollo Pro 133 (кажется), в
общем, неважно -- мосты-то одинаковые с точки зрения драйвера.

Они всегда здесь есть. Просто иногда снести может быть и быстрее
(вспоминая, как однажды chown xxx .* уполз на .. ../.. ../../..
и перечовнил весь корень, но все же обошлось без переустановки).
