Спасибо Александр - уже все в порядке "и опыт сын ошибок трудных и..."
Да в догонку вопрос по winbindd:
[global]
pasword server = *
[share_name]
...
path=/path/to/share_name
valid users = user_name1
...
демон winbindd smbd nmbd работают к домену подключен
пробую подцепится с машины по w98 к шаре а она не пушает, запрашивает
пароль ввожу пароль user_name1 все равно не получается, хотя машина с
в98 до этого успешно подключилась к домену
ЗЫ: в pam.d
login
samba
поправлены согласно ману и Вашим рекомендациям
