Скорость pkzip будет примерно эквивалентна скорости
входящего в поставку zip.
Чуда не произойдет...
Специфика алгоритмов сжатия такова, что соотношение
скорость/степень сжатия отнюдь не линейно....
Если bzip2 не устраивает по скорости - посмотрите в
сторону gzip, он быстрее (особенно, если сжимать не
максимальным сжатием).
