А проблема в том, что egcs не собирается под glibc2.2 :(( В RH за ним таскают
compat-glibc, что естественно не есть гуд, т.к, например, программу, требующую
X11 уже не соберешь, т.к она слинкована под glibc2.2. Как выход - собирать X11
под compat-glibc, (т.е делать compat-XFree, compat-bla-bla :-( )), или перейти
на gcc-2.95.x, как сделано, например, в ALT :)) Кстати, тот же MPlayer, не
советует себя собирать gcc3 из нового RH, говоря, что gcc3 собран gcc 2.96,
соответственно, все его глюки остались :((( Короче, " повезло" RH...
