Я обычно делал make в kernel, потом в GLX, вроде, пока без
эксцессов.
Про изменения читайте по верхней ссылке, из улучшений, замеченных
мной - заработал modeline на 100Hz для режима "1024x768", раньше
ругался на % (!!), и говорил discarding mode.
GL работает, как и раньше, Urban Terror Beta2 ~ 90 fps ;)
