Каталог /var/log
XFree86.0.log - лог Xfree86
логи xfs в файле /var/log/messages, если их там нет, то в файле
/etc/X11/config пропишите error-file = /var/log/xfs.log и use-syslog = on
(последнее вроде по умолчанию стоит...)
