Если честно, то, что вы написали - это немного бред :) Почему:
1) Не указано, поднята ли вообще эта карта через PnP (или отключен ли
PnP в BIOS'e), т.к это важно если вы используете ядро 2.2 и OSS
драйвера.
2) Уж если собрались использовать, snd-card-ymxx (т.е ALSA), то надо
читать не Sound-HOWTO, а /usr/share/doc/alsa-driver-xxx/INSTALL - там
все написано довольно подробно и понятно (кстати, судя по описанию, для
данного чипа можно даже irq и io не указывать =)
ЗЫ Все-таки мое личное мнение - всякие эти *Drake и kudzu, гадость
полнейшая, ничего, кроме потерянных нервных клеток, хорошего от них не
видел :(
