Называется Clipboard :)
КакСде:
1) Выделяем текст левым кнопком мыша
2) Ставим курсор куда надо
3) Нажимаем среднюю кнопку мыша.

В MC:
Shift+левыйкнопок-дёрг-мышом.
Hint: Если надо в MC подставить в командную строку имя
файла, а используемый терминал не умеет Ctrl-Enter -
ESC + Enter.
Кстати, подобная хрень работает и в текстовой консоли
без GUI.
