Сюдюк может не размонтироваться по истечении таймаута в том случае, если
он юзается каким-либо приложением (Например mc высвечивает на панели
список директорий с CD). Если его не юзать - он отмонтируется.

Еще можно попробовать amd, но IMHO autofs - оптимальней.
