Дело в том, что в режиме Plug'n'Pray это динамически
настраивается. И до инициализации Plug'n'pray
устройства ничего неизвестно.
Варианты действий:
1) (Самый простой) - джамперами на модеме выставить,
что он COM4 (3 или какой-там), согласно инструкции,
прилагаемой к модему (или скачанной с сайта 3Com)
Всё.
2) Выставить в BIOS Plug'n'pray OS installed -> off,
далее - pnpisa (как ей пользоваться - я уже забыл, man
pnpisa (или isapnp))
