Да, конечно. Но поскольку при компиляции ядра используется
большая куча мелких файлов, то производительность дисковой
системы чувствительно сказывается на этом процессе.
У меня тогда была мама Chaintech на VIA, был ряд проблем,
причем под Windows и именно из-за nVidia. Решил поменять маму.
Поменял на маму со старым добрым BX (Abit BE6II, на которой до
сих пор и живу). Все остальное осталось прежнее.
Вот тогда я и был приятно удивлен при компиляции ядра.
И что интересно, под виндой глюки поисчезали.
