Не смотря на мое к Вам уважение, не верю. Я это видел и не один раз.
Никакой драйвер не сумел обойти всех глюков конкретного "южного моста"
сего чипсета:

Вот и попробуйте сравните именно этот вариант, но только не тестами,
а реальной работой. Даже компиляция одного и того же ядра при проведении
мною подобного эксперимента отличалась почти на 30 секунд на фоне
примерно 5 минут.
