Точно.
А как зовут этого таинственного провайдера? Может, у него на
сайте информация о dns есть? Кстати, можно залогиниться из под
виндов, они понимают автораздачу dns-адресов, посмотреть их
как-нибудь (как - не знаю, можно firewall поставить и посмотреть
на активность) и вписать их в /etc/resolv.conf
