Кстати, если мне не изменяет память, в скриптах ip-up.* из дистрибутива есть возможность динамического включения DNS провайдера, если он их предоставляет. Там это делается в зависимости от переменной окружения при запуске, которая, кажется, выставляется kppp и может быть выставлена и по другому (сейчас не вспомню детали, но я с этим, наоборот, боролся т.к. у меня кэширующий bind:)
