Откуда обновляли? Надеюсь, брали .src.rpm с
ftp.altlinux.ru или зеркал?
Пробовали взять готовый .rpm ядра с ftp.altlinux.ru?
Звук через OSS или через ALSA?
Если через ALSA, то обновлена ли ALSA?
При обновлении ядра (rpm -ivh <ядро>.rpm) не было ли
нарушенных зависимостей, которые велели игнорировать?
