Это надо у разработчиков спросить, они должны знать.
Мне не понравились драйвера от Matrox тем, что при
переключении консоль<->графика на экране некоторое
время оставался "мусор". И само переключение субъективно
кажется медленнее.
Тестов я никаких не запускал, в повседневной работе
мне скорости хватает, от "мусора" избавился. Так что
меня драйвера от XFree устраивают.
