У меня такая карта. Хотел "шикануть", когда компьютер
покупал :), купил "двухголового".
1. Драйвера для него точно есть в XFree86 4.1.0. Как
mga_drv, так и mga_dri. Что полезно для 3D-графики.
Да и в предыдущих версиях, по-моему, были.
2. Драйвера также можно скачать на сайте Matrox, это
mga_drv и mga_hal_drv. Даже какие-то там исходники
есть (или это для PowerDesk...)
3. Есть утилита PowerDesk, аналогичная той, что
под Windows. Она ругается, что драйвера не с Matrox-a,
однако работает, создает XF86Config-4.
4. С ее помощью можно настроить вывод на два монитора.
У меня один монитор, но для проверки я переключал
его на другой выход и видел "вторую половину" экрана.
Дальнейшие эксперименты отложены до покупки нового
монитора (сейчас 14-дюймовый).
5. Есть человек, утверждающий, что сделал на этой карте
под Линуксом два отдельных рабочих стола и TV-выход.
Сам я не видел.
6. Сами разработчики говорят, что невозможно на втором
выходе работать в текстовом режиме. То есть под
Виндами никак. Под Линуксом есть лазейка - как-то
использовать фрейм-буфер. Я тоже пока не пробовал.
