Когда я собрал ядро 2.4.5-alt3 с оптимизацией под Athlon, у меня тоже
появилось что-то подобное. Причем проявлялось и в gears: моргание
(особенно сильное при движении мыши) и срезанный угол. Вылечилось
возвратом на стандартное ядро kernel24-up-2.4.5-alt3. На 2.4.5-alt5-up
было нормально, сейчас 2.4.6-alt1-up - тоже работает.
Правда, в tuxracer наблюдается другая проблема: пингвин весь белый :-)
Исправляется установкой в ~/.tuxracer/options:
set use_sphere_display_list false
tuxracer-0.61-alt1, XFree86-4.1.0-alt5, карта определяется как ATI Rage
128 Pro PF rev 0, Chipset: "ATI Rage 128 Pro PF (AGP)" (ChipID = 0x5046)
