Поделюсь все-таки я, мало ли, кому пригодится.
Давным-давно я выставил в BIOS USB Controller=disabled, теперь
включил
В /etc/sysconfig/usb ставим USB=yes
/sbin/service usb start, если mount и load modules = OK, то ок :)
/sbin/chkconfig --add usb
В /etc/modules.conf раскомментарил alias usb-interface usb-uhci
(может быть ohci для других контроллеров, как я понял)
Добавил alias char-major-81 ov511 (документация в
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/usb/ov511.txt, там же про
/dev/video)
Теперь смотрю gqcam и xawtv, kwintv не запустился.
