Тут IMHO не все так просто . Кроме модели чипа как такового играет роль и производитель самой карты и возможно сопутсвующее карте железо .
У меня дома на Спринге прекрасно работает Hauppauge WinTV на bttv878 . С единственной загвоздкой - работает только в KWinTV .
Гномовская программа ругается на неправильные адреса .
А тут как то ставил приятелю тот же самый Спринг и наткнулся на проблему когда тюнер на том же чипе , но от другого производителя работать отказывался . Ругаться не ругался а просто на всех частотах показывал "Войну Микробов". В принципах работы тивитюнеров я асболютно не разбираюсь , времени на чтение мануалов не было , так что пришлось просто развести руками и оставить человека смотреть телевизор в BeOSе .
Так что посоветовать ничего не могу , скажу только что _лично_ у меня Наuppauge WinTV c TV и Radio тюнером работает .
Снятием кадров с TV-in не занимался , как там и что не знаю .
