Ну все! Победил гада! Оказалось ему надо было порт лочить (setserial-ом)
более чем на 19200. Причем заметил такую особенность, если залочить порт
на 38400, то сам момед на своем ЖКИ кажет скорость 57600 почему-то,
а если порт залочить на 115200, то кажет правильно - 19200, т.е. то
что в нем по включению установить и было забито.
Вот такие пироги!
