Ну да, кузов лежачий, но все оказалось проще и идентифицировать что там
внутри (EISA или еще какая экзотика) не пришлось - карточка при более
подробном рассмотрении оказалась вполе обычной Intel EtherExpress Pro/10+ с
уже готовыми драйверами в Spring2001. modprobe eepro правда захотел некий
параметр autodetect=1, после указания которого нормально подхватил драйвер
карточки. А хард после закрытия крышки продолжает работать нормально.
Похоже и вправду были наводки от монитора...
В общем - опять всем спасибо, проблемы большей частью (пока) решены.
