И еще могу добавить, что очень плохо он делается "коробочным". Т.е. достал
из коробки и поставил пакет. Подправил настройки и работает. Вот этого не
получается в отличии от всех остальных.

Не хочу развязывать "религиозную" войну, но как человек, имеющий некоторый
опыт работы и с тем и с другим, хочу спросить: "На чем основано сие
утверждение о производительности?" Когда письма с ходу уходят, проблемы
могут возникать только на "могучих" серверах. А вот когда письма (а'ля
mail.ru) могут по 8 часов в очереди сидеть (mail.ru is too busy now. Please
try again later) - exim, я бы сказал, предпочтительнее по
производительности. А также при не очень шустрых DNS'ах.
