При сборке gcc не важно, каким компилятором Вы его собираете, ибо в
процессе сборки он себя собирает трижды (сперва системным компилятором,
потом дважды тем, что получилось).
Важно, в какой среде происходит сборка, а именно:
rpm, kernel-headers, glibc-devel, binutils, ...
